Wes Staley

Wes Staley is a nonbinary tattoo artist and muralist based in Lincoln, Nebraska. Working from Red Quill Tattoo, Wes brings a bold, painterly style rooted in oil painting and tattoo aesthetics to both skin and large-scale walls. Their most prominent public work is the Brandon Teena memorial mural in Lincoln's University Place Creative District, created for the LUX Center for the Arts. Through vivid color and unflinching subject matter, Wes uses art to uplift and honor LGBTQ+ history and community.
