Ugo Rondinone
Ugo Rondinone is a Swiss-born artist based in New York City. Born in 1964 in Brunnen, Switzerland, he studied at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna before moving to New York in 1998. Rondinone works across painting, sculpture, video, and installation, with themes rooted in nature, romanticism, and existentialism. He is best known for his monumental stacked-boulder sculptures, including Seven Magic Mountains in the Nevada desert and Miami Mountain in Miami Beach.
