Trudy Swanson

Trudy Swanson is an Omaha-based sculptor and public artist originally from Idaho. Of Japanese descent, her work fuses diverse cultural influences across a range of media. Her public commissions include the Umonhon sculpture series at Fontenelle Park celebrating the Omaha Tribe of Nebraska, and the Omaha Peace Project, a steel origami crane sculpture inspired by the story of Sadako Sasaki. She has contributed to murals and community art projects throughout the city.
