Tom Burgess

MFA in Design (University of Minnesota) Instructor in the Theater Department at Normandale Community College (11 years) Introduction to Theatre, Introduction to Cinema, Drawing, and Rendering, Basic Design, Lighting and Sound, Stage Craft, Technical Theatre Practicum Tom has worked with the Guthrie Theater as a properties artisan and set designing productions for the Guthrie/BFA program and the Guthrie Experience. He also has worked as a properties master and assistant scenic designer for a number of Penumbra Theatre's productions. Most recently, he has stage-managed for A Prairie Home Companion's Norway/Scotland cruise as well as designing scenery, lights, and technical directing many Normandale productions.
