Susan Prentice Martinsen

Susan Prentice Martinsen is an Ashland, Wisconsin native who co-created the town's celebrated outdoor mural program. She and Kelly Meredith produced over 20 murals together across the Northland, helping earn Ashland the designation Historic Mural Capital of Wisconsin from the state legislature. Her fluid, painterly style emphasizes powerful lighting and meticulous historical accuracy. She retired from mural painting in 2021 after 23 years, with her final work at the Cabbies/Stagecoach Bar and Grill.
