Steven G. Jensen

Steven G. Jensen is a sculptor whose steel works explore the human form through varying degrees of abstraction. His four-piece installation In the Beginning…Was the Word (1997) stands on the campus of the University of St. Thomas in Saint Paul, Minnesota, where the figures progress from pure geometric abstraction to recognizable human shapes. The commission was part of the university's fine arts program for its Frey Science and Engineering Center.
