Peter Wolf Toth
Peter Wolf Toth is a Hungarian-born American sculptor best known for the Trail of the Whispering Giants, a series of over 74 monumental wood carvings honoring Native Americans and all people facing injustice. Born in 1947, Toth immigrated to Akron, Ohio, and studied art at Ohio University. Working exclusively with hammer and chisel, he completed at least one sculpture in every US state by 1988 — each one donated as a gift. He continues to create from his open-air studio in Florida.
