Per Ung
Per Ung (1933–2013) was one of Norway's most celebrated sculptors, known as "The People's Sculptor" for his many public monuments found across Norwegian cities. Trained at the Norwegian National Academy of Fine Arts under Per Palle Storm and at St. Martin's School of Art in London under Anthony Caro, he bridged classical figurative tradition with modern sensibility. His major works include the Johanne Dybwad monument at Oslo's National Theatre and the Sonja Henie statue. He was appointed Knight 1st Class of the Order of St. Olav in 2007.
