Oria Simonini

Oria Simonini is a Latinx visual artist, painter, muralist, and community organizer based in Omaha, Nebraska. Born in French Guiana to Argentine parents, she spent her early years sailing and living in Central America before settling in Nebraska as a teenager. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2018. Her figurative work explores the migrant and refugee experience, and her mural projects are deeply collaborative — built through community workshops, group painting sessions, and direct input from the people who will live with the finished piece.
