Michael Owen

Michael Owen is a contemporary painter and muralist born in Washington, D.C. in 1982. After earning his BFA in Illustration from the Maryland Institute College of Art, he created over 200 murals across the United States. He is best known for the Baltimore Love Project, a self-initiated series of 20 sign language LOVE murals spread across Baltimore's neighborhoods. Owen has also painted one of the nation's longest murals, a quarter-mile span in Baltimore's Highlandtown neighborhood. He now lives and works on California's Central Coast.
