Michael B. Price
Michael B. Price (1940–2001) was a Chicago-born sculptor who spent his career in Minnesota, teaching sculpture, drawing, and art history at Hamline University for over three decades. After earning degrees in mathematics and fine art, Price worked primarily in bronze using the lost-wax casting process. His public sculptures are known for their warmth and approachability, often placed at ground level without pedestals. His Fitzgerald statue in Rice Park remains his most celebrated work.
