Mary Carmen Olvera Trejo

Mary Carmen Olvera Trejo is a civic leader and mosaic arts organizer from Zacatlán de las Manzanas, Puebla, Mexico. In 2014, she launched a monumental mosaic mural project that transformed her hometown into a world-renowned destination for tile art, generating 30 new businesses and attracting tourists from around the globe. She founded La Casa del VitroMuralista, a workshop and gallery dedicated to the craft. Her collaborative approach brings together professional artists and community volunteers to create large-scale public murals celebrating cultural identity and shared heritage.
