Littleton Alston

Littleton Alston is a sculptor and Professor of Sculpture at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. Born in Petersburg, Virginia, he grew up in Washington, DC, where the citys public art sparked his early passion for sculpture. He holds an MFA from the Rinehart School of Sculpture at the Maryland Institute College of Art. In 2023, he became the first African American sculptor to place a statue in the U.S. Capitols National Statuary Hall, with his bronze of author Willa Cather. His works range from figurative bronzes to abstract stainless steel compositions.
