Laurie Tenpas

Laurie Tenpas is a painter, muralist, and art educator based in Nekoosa, Wisconsin, where she taught high school art for over twenty years. Her paintings draw on Midwestern wildlife and landscape, using bold color and abstraction to evoke a sense of exploration. Tenpas holds an M.S.E. in Art from UW-Stevens Point and has led multiple large-scale community mural projects in the Nekoosa area, bringing together students, local artists, and residents to create public art that celebrates the region's natural and cultural heritage.
