Laura Annis
Laura Annis is a Baraboo, Wisconsin-based painter and muralist whose work is inspired by the natural beauty of the Driftless region, folklore, and mythology. Beginning her career as a scenic carpenter in Chicago, she discovered the scroll saw and developed a distinctive practice combining painting with dimensional wood cut-outs. Her murals can be found throughout Wisconsin and internationally, including Mexico. Annis also works with cyanotype and woodcut printmaking, and has completed artist residencies including the Porcupine Mountains Wilderness in Michigan.
