Based in Northeast Minneapolis, her practice centers on collaborative metalwork and concrete sculpture addressing themes of peace, friendship, and social change. Her notable works include Phoenix Rising (1996), a 4,000-pound sculpture cast from melted guns at the Hennepin County Government Center, and Bell of Two Friends (2001), a monument to the sister-city relationship between Minneapolis and Ibaraki, Japan, on Nicollet Island.
