Wonder Wander
Jun Kaneko is a Japanese-born American artist known for monumental sculptures in ceramic, glass, and bronze. Born in Nagoya, Japan in 1942, he came to the United States in 1963 and studied with influential ceramists including Peter Voulkos. Based in Omaha, Nebraska since 1986, Kaneko has completed over 70 public art commissions and designed sets for opera productions including Madame Butterfly and The Magic Flute. His work appears in more than 80 museum collections worldwide. He has received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the International Sculpture Center.
