Jordan "KNWSLF" Brooks

Jordan "KNWSLF" Brooks is a creator, educator, and doctoral student at Iowa State University. Born in the Philippines and raised in Erie, Pennsylvania, Brooks studied art and psychology before moving to Iowa, where he founded Fill the Room Studio + Gallery at Mainframe Studios in Des Moines. KNWSLF stands for KNowledge, Wisdom, Self Love, and Fellowship. His art and research explore how Black parents curate art within their homes to support their children's identity development. His public murals can be found across Des Moines and Ames.
