John Lopez

John Lopez is a sculptor born and raised on a ranch in western South Dakota. He discovered his passion for sculpture during his senior year at Northern State University and has since built a career spanning traditional bronze and his signature Hybrid Metal Art — large-scale sculptures crafted from scrap iron and cast bronze. His works include twelve life-size presidential monuments for the City of Presidents in Rapid City, the Hugh Glass monument in Lemmon, and commissions for the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame. He lives and works in Lemmon, South Dakota.
