Jessie Fritsch

Jessie Fritsch is a Stevens Point-based artist known primarily for encaustic painting — an ancient technique using heated, pigmented beeswax. She earned her BFA in Studio Art from UW-Stevens Point in 2006 after receiving a research grant to explore the medium, and has been working with beeswax for over 22 years. In 2022 she opened Buzz in Art Studios in rural Arnott, Wisconsin, where she teaches small-group encaustic workshops. Fritsch serves as Director of the Stevens Point Festival of the Arts and is a steering committee member for the Hidden Studios Art Tour. Her work is exhibited at Midwest art festivals and through Saatchi Art online.
