Janey Westin
Janey Westin is an Edina, Minnesota-based stone carver, sculptor, and calligrapher. She began her career as a professional calligrapher after a formative year as a Rotary Exchange student in Japan in 1975-76, and started carving letters in stone in 1985. Her lettering work evolved into full sculptural practice across many types of stone. Westin has completed commissions for religious institutions, universities, corporations, and civic organizations, and teaches stone letter carving at the Indiana Limestone Symposium. She co-authored The Last Kings of Norse America with her father.
