Janet Lofquist
Janet Lofquist is a Minneapolis-based public artist with decades of experience creating sculptural environments for civic spaces, campuses, transit stations, and libraries across the United States. Her work explores the relationship between site, community, and natural phenomena, using materials ranging from granite and steel to rammed earth and art glass. Notable commissions include Hive in St. Louis, Landscape of Memories along the Minneapolis light rail, and Pages at the East Lake Library. She has received fellowships from the Minnesota State Arts Board and the National Endowment for the Arts.
