Jamie Burmeister

Jamie Burmeister is a sculptor, musician, and educator based in Omaha, Nebraska. He holds an MFA in Sculpture from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and teaches art at Metropolitan Community College. Burmeister works across sculpture, painting, installation, and interactive media, but is best known for his "vermin" project — small bronze figures installed in over a thousand locations across six continents. His public art includes interactive sound sculptures, large-scale portraits, and community-centered installations exhibited at institutions including the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts and the Dubuque Museum of Art.
