Ivan Whillock
Ivan Whillock is a sculptor, woodcarver, and painter based in Faribault, Minnesota, recognized as one of the world's most distinguished woodcarvers. He began carving at age twelve in his father's furniture shop in Trempealeau, Wisconsin, and studied under master sculptor Angel Lillo and master carver Eduardo Gutierrez. With dual degrees in English and art from Winona State University, Whillock has created wood sculptures, bronze statues, and reliefs found in churches, businesses, and private collections worldwide. He is the author of twelve books on woodcarving and organizes Carv-Fest, an annual carving festival in Faribault.
