Herb Mignery
Born to a hundred-year Nebraska ranching heritage, Herb Mignery traded the cowboy life for art and cast his first bronze in 1973. Working from his Colorado studio, he sculpts the unglamorous, authentic people of the American West — farmers, shepherds, settlers, and school teachers — with an eye for fluid motion and quiet character. A member of the Cowboy Artists of America since 1984 and now an Emeritus Member, Mignery is also a Fellow of the National Sculpture Society and an inductee of the Nebraska Sandhills Cowboy Hall of Fame. His public monuments stand in over a dozen states.
