Hend Al-Mansour
Hend Al-Mansour is a Saudi-born, Minnesota-based installation artist whose work weaves Islamic art traditions with feminist narratives. Originally trained as a cardiologist in Cairo, she practiced medicine for twenty years before immigrating to the U.S. in 1997 and pursuing art full-time. She earned her MFA from Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Al-Mansour creates screen prints, textile installations, and murals featuring Arabic calligraphy, henna motifs, and stylized figures. She is a McKnight Fellow, Jerome Fellow, and member of Rosalux Gallery in Minneapolis.
