Greg Gossel

Greg Gossel is a mixed-media artist born in 1982 in Baldwin, Wisconsin, now based in Minneapolis. He holds a BFA in graphic design from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. His richly layered compositions pull from pulp novels, romance comics, politics, and twentieth-century pop culture, blending silkscreen, collage, and hand-painting into large-scale works that both celebrate and question our obsession with iconic imagery. His art has been shown in San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, Copenhagen, London, and Tokyo, and he has created work for clients including American Express, Levi's, and Burton Snowboards.
