Greene County High School Art Students
Greene County High School Art Students create community murals throughout Jefferson, Iowa, under the direction of art teacher Sarah Stott. Since 2016, Stott's painting classes have transformed walls across town—from the municipal pool concession stand to the 125-foot "Greetings from Jefferson" mural on Shadran Industrial Supply. The chicken mural, painted in 2022 on a former hatchery building, continues their tradition of leaving lasting, unexpected art in the community. Supplies are funded through the school's art club and department, with community donations supporting future projects.
