Glenna Goodacre

Glenna Goodacre (1939–2020) was an American sculptor celebrated for her expressive, figurative bronze work. Over a fifty-year career based in Santa Fe, New Mexico, she created more than 600 sculptures, including the Vietnam Women's Memorial on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., and the obverse of the Sacagawea U.S. dollar coin. Her monumental Irish Memorial at Penn's Landing in Philadelphia features 35 life-size figures. A graduate of Colorado College, Goodacre received honorary doctorates from both her alma mater and Texas Tech University.
