George-Ann Tognoni

George-Ann Tognoni (1920–2008) was an American sculptor born in Fort Dodge, Iowa. She grew up on a family farm raising Shetland ponies, sparking a lifelong connection to horses. After studying sculpture at the University of New Mexico and Iowa State University, serving with the Red Cross in the Philippines, and raising five children, she devoted herself to art full time. Her public works include The Yearlings and the Winfield Scott Memorial, both at the Scottsdale Civic Center. She lived and worked in Phoenix until her death at age 88.
