Elizabeth 'Betty' Stanley Wallace
Elizabeth 'Betty' Stanley Wallace was a sculptor and long-time art instructor at Nebraska Wesleyan University, where she served as head of the art department. With fellow artist Gladys Lux, she co-founded an exhibition space that grew into the Lux Center for the Arts. Wallace earned both her education and artistic career in Lincoln, Nebraska, studying at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Nebraska Wesleyan. Her best-known work, the Watchful Citizen, earned her the Lincoln Mayor's Arts Award in 1994.
