Dave Loewenstein

Dave Loewenstein is a muralist, printmaker, and writer based in Lawrence, Kansas. A graduate of Grinnell College, he creates dynamic, richly colored community-based murals found across the United States, Northern Ireland, South Korea, and Brazil. His prints addressing social justice themes are held by the Museum of Modern Art in New York, Yale University, and the Center for the Study of Political Graphics in Los Angeles. He co-authored Kansas Murals: A Traveler's Guide, a 2007 Kansas Notable Book Award winner, and is the subject of the 2016 documentary Called to Walls.
