Dave Gatzmer

Dave Gatzmer is a St. Louis Park, Minnesota, painting contractor and self-taught artist known as "Phone Banksy." Early in his career he drew illustrations and comic strips for Twin Cities alternative publications including City Pages and the Twin Cities Reader, and later designed quirky giftware like oddball mugs and novelty bottle stoppers. His telephone wall installation on a Highway 100 noise barrier began as anonymous guerrilla art and was officially adopted as public art by the St. Louis Park City Council.
