Dan Wiemer
Dan Wiemer is a landscape artist working in watermedia from his studio in Red Wing, Minnesota. A graduate of Iowa State University with a BA in graphic design, Wiemer uniquely blends opaque acrylic with transparent watercolor to create stylized landscapes that emphasize rhythm, negative space, and the ruggedness of the north. A past president of the Minnesota Watercolor Society, he has painted and exhibited internationally, including extended stays in China, Scotland, Ireland, and throughout the United States. His work draws inspiration from Winslow Homer, John Singer Sargent, and Canada's Group of Seven.
