Coyote Central Hit the Streets
Coyote Central is a Seattle nonprofit that sparks creativity in youth ages 10 to 15 through hands-on arts classes and public art projects. Their Hit the Streets program, launched in 1992, pairs young people with professional teaching artists to design, build, and install permanent public artworks across Seattle's Central District. Over seven hundred youth have participated, creating mosaic entryways, ceramic murals, and sculptural columns in neighborhood parks, schools, and community centers.
