Communidad Maya Pixan Ixim

Communidad Maya Pixan Ixim is a Mayan cultural organization based in South Omaha, Nebraska, dedicated to preserving and sharing indigenous Maya heritage. The mural was created collaboratively with muralists Jair Rodriguez, Ilaamen Pelshaw, Richard Harrison, Gary Kastrick, and Hugo Zamorano as part of the South Omaha Mural Project (also known as A Midsummer's Mural). The project has produced multiple community-driven murals across South Omaha, each created in partnership with the neighborhood's diverse cultural communities.
