Wonder Wander
Carlos Luna is a Cuban-American painter, sculptor, printmaker, and ceramicist born in 1969 in Pinar del Rio, Cuba. Trained at the Escuela Provincial de Artes Plasticas and the Instituto Superior de Arte in Havana, he emigrated to Mexico in 1991 and moved to Miami in 2002 on an EB-1 extraordinary ability visa. Drawing from the Cuban School tradition and influenced by Wilfredo Lam and Fernand Leger, Luna works across painting, sculpture, ceramics, and tapestry. His works have been exhibited at the Boca Museum of Art, New Orleans Museum of Art, Art Basel, and Art Miami.
