Broken Crow
Broken Crow is the collaborative practice of Minneapolis-based artists Mike Fitzsimmons and John Grider. Working together since 2003, the duo pioneered the use of large-scale stencils in street art, painting over 125 murals across cities including Minneapolis, New York, Paris, London, and across Africa. Their work reintroduces wild animals into urban landscapes—bears, wolves, foxes, and squirrels rendered in hyper-detailed stencil layers that are both playful and sophisticated. Drawing from techniques learned in the 1990s graffiti scene, they transformed their practice into something entirely their own.
