Barbara Grygutis is a Tucson-based sculptor known for monumental public artworks that transform urban spaces into sites of connection and wonder. With a BFA and MFA from the University of Arizona, she began her career in ceramics — creating place settings for a 1977 White House Senate Wives Luncheon — before scaling up to massive aluminum, steel, and stone installations. With more than 75 large-scale commissions across North America and Europe, her work explores themes of dialogue, empowerment, and the relationship between nature and the built environment.
