Alois Kronschlaeger
Alois Kronschlaeger is an Austrian-American artist born in 1966 in Grieskirchen, Austria, who lives and works between Brooklyn, New York, and Mexico City. Known internationally for his site-specific installations and sculptures, Kronschlaeger explores time, space, and color through bold geometric forms that blur the line between art and architecture. His work draws on the legacy of Frederick Kiesler and Buckminster Fuller, using simple materials to create immersive optical experiences. His installations have appeared at the Figge Art Museum, Bruce Museum of Art and Science, Yuan Art Museum in Beijing, and the Festival of Islamic Arts in Sharjah, among many others. He is represented by Cristin Tierney Gallery in New York.
