Adama Sow
Adama Sow is a ceramicist from Senegal, West Africa, who has been working with clay for over twenty years. He earned his diploma in ceramics from the Fine Art School of Dakar in 1987 and later studied at a ceramics school in Hörgrenzhausen, Germany. After moving to Minnesota in 2002, he discovered the Edina Art Center and quickly became a beloved instructor. His work blends traditional West African pottery techniques with contemporary forms. He founded CeramicSow studio in Hopkins, Minnesota, and has exhibited throughout the Midwest.
