Aaron Johnson-Ortiz

Aaron Johnson-Ortiz is a Mexican-American/Chicanx muralist based in St. Paul, Minnesota. Originally from Minnesota, he grew up in Guatemala and Chiapas, Mexico, shaping art that centers labor rights, immigrant rights, and the transnational Latino experience. He is the founder and Executive Director of (Neo)Muralismos de México, dedicated to reclaiming the Mexican origins of muralism. His "Workers United In Struggle" mural was named Best Mural by City Pages in 2018. He enjoys backpacking Minnesota's North Shore with his dog Aura.
