Nancy Kingbird

A member of the Leech Lake Nation (Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe) from Cass Lake, Minnesota. Kingbird began beading at age ten, stringing colored beads, porcupine quills, and bugle beads. Known for distinct designs that bring spiritual energy to every pattern, her work is recognized throughout the region's Indigenous community. She was the featured artist for the 2024 Little Big Show at MacRostie Art Center in Grand Rapids, Minnesota.
