Gary Kastrick

Gary Kastrick is a retired South High history teacher and the visionary behind the South Omaha Mural Project. As a local historian and former director of the South Omaha Museum, Kastrick conceived the idea of creating murals depicting the ethnic heritage of South Omaha's neighborhoods. He serves as history consultant on each mural, ensuring accuracy in the stories portrayed, and leads popular guided bus tours of the completed murals.
