Charles Engebretsen
Charles Engebretsen is an internationally recognized Scottish sculptor from a seafaring family on the Isle of Lewis. He studied at the Nicolson Institute before earning his degree at Gray's School of Art in Aberdeen. His bronze and iron castings explore isolation and the relationship between humans and extreme environments. Notable works include the Turra Coo in Aberdeenshire, the Nairn Fishwife, and the Herring Girl in Stornoway. He serves as production facilities coordinator at Glasgow Sculpture Studio.
